I completed the first of four baby blankets which I feel compelled to crochet for friends and family members. This blanket’s young lady is due November 20; I missed the baby shower by one day πŸ™‚ When I handed the gift baby to the dad, he commented that I did not need to make her a blanket, and I replied, “I had made [their] first two kids blankets so of course the third one was getting one.” Equality for siblings!

I began Baby B’s blanket yesterday on the way to a cross country meet where the Cumberland County High School Cross Country Team competed in the Region One Regionals. My nephew, Parker, improved his time on that particular course by nineteen seconds since running it two weeks ago. Whoa!! The family celebrated and ate at E-town Cracker Barrel.

B said she did not care. A quick rummage in my baby appropriate stash section revealed a giant ball of unlabeled aqua, a dash of pale pink, an entire skein of Red Heart yellow, most of a skein of Red Heart Baby Pink, and two skeins of Red Heart White. I generally have a couple shades and weights white yarn loitering around my stash as he pairs well with most colors.

Baby A’s blanket pattern is six rows of aqua, four rows of alternating pink and yellow, and two rows of white trimmed log cabin style with two rows of white on each side. She is about 26inches by 34 inches.
